UP-FY 18-23 Capital Systems Renewal Program
The Capital Systems Renewal Program will consist of approximately 80 projects over the next three to five years across the Penn State University Park campus, aimed at improving various building systems, including Masonry repairs, Roof replacements, Electrical switchgear renewals, Window replacements, and Elevator modernizations.
Each building system upgrade project may also consist of various supplemental bid packages, including but not limited to, Abatement, General Trades, Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, etc. Work is anticipated to occur across campus on multiple buildings simultaneously.
The total project cost of $90 million comprises $66 million of DGS funds to be provided over two fiscal years. Initial projects and trade contractor bid packages are anticipated to be released in the Winter of 2022-2023 for contractor bidding. Subsequent projects and bid packages will be released periodically over the next few years as funding is released and project designs are completed.
PSU and Alexander Building Construction Co. seek qualified trade contractors interested in this exciting project to enhance building systems across the University Park campus. Before bidding on any trade contractor packages, all bidders must be prequalified by PSU.
All Trade Contractors interested in the upcoming Capital System Renewal Program Projects must be PSU prequalified before the bidding due date. Prequalification documents shall be submitted directly to Tina Petrie ([email protected]) at Alexander Building Construction Co.
