West Campus Steam Plant Production Modifications

  • BOT Approved Amount: $57,300,000

SCOPE:  This project plans to convert the West Campus Steam Plant from burning coal to natural gas and includes the installation of a new gas service line.  Inside the plant the project includes new high capacity gas-fired boilers, replacement of two turbine generators, new water treatment equipment, and electrical upgrades.  Demolition of the underground tanks will take place November 2017 - April 2018.  Following the tank removal, construction of the new 3-story Steam Services Building will commence.
